Sagar Dharel is an electrical engineer with a degree of M.Sc. in Power System Engineering. Currently pursuing a PhD in Kathmandu University, Mr. Dharel is an aspiring researcher in power and energy sector. With more than 10 years of professional experience, he has worked as an academician, consultant, and research engineer in a few organizations in Nepal. He has been working with the Nepal Energy Foundation for over six years, during which time he has given technical support for project creation, research, and innovation. Energy security, power system planning and operation, resilience and flexibility are some of his main areas of interest. Additionally, he has a strong interest in clean cooking options in Nepal and has developed several studies and projects in this field.
